Annual Children’s Stories & Art Exhibition

If Stories Could Come Alive
Community Art Exhibition in Schaumburg

From the National Virtual Exhibition to a Local Celebration in Schaumburg

If Stories Could Come Alive is a nationwide 365 for Kids virtual art exhibition inviting children and teens to create original artwork inspired by stories, books, characters, and imagination.

Children first participate in the national virtual exhibition by completing the official submission form. Our goal is to give young artists a positive and encouraging exhibition experience rather than a competitive one. Submissions are reviewed for compliance with the exhibition guidelines, but the artworks are not ranked or judged against one another. The first 500 eligible submissions will be included in the online exhibition and official printed exhibition catalog, in the order they are received.

Children who live in Schaumburg or nearby Chicago suburbs and participate in the virtual exhibition may also be invited to take part in our special in-person Community Art Exhibition in Schaumburg on Saturday, December 12, 2026. After submissions are reviewed, we will contact eligible local participants and invite families who wish to participate to bring or deliver the child’s original artwork for display at the live exhibition.

Participation in the Schaumburg exhibition is optional and does not affect participation in the national virtual exhibition.

First, submit your child’s artwork to the national exhibition here:
