2026 PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE
Three Free Nationwide Opportunities for Children Ages 6–17
The 2026 program includes three noncompetitive initiatives that invite children and teens across the United States to respond to stories, literature, creativity, and meaningful values through visual art, recorded reading, and original writing.
Submissions are now open and will be accepted through November 1, 2026, or until the capacity for the respective initiative is reached.
Each initiative accepts up to 500 complete and eligible submissions, in the order in which they are received.

Participation in a local Activity Guide session does not require submission to a 365 for Kids annual program. Submission is always an optional and separate next step.

Children’s Stories & Art Exhibition
2026 Theme: “If Stories Could Come Alive”
Children create original artwork inspired by a book, fairy tale, myth, legend, folktale, family story, or audio story.
Accepted eligible artworks will be presented in the virtual exhibition and included in the official printed exhibition catalog.
Best for: Libraries, schools, art programs, reading groups, homeschool communities, and young artists ages 6–17.
Voices from the Heart
2026 Edition: “A Page That Touched Me”
Children select a meaningful passage from the official reading list, read it aloud, and share a short reflection about why the passage matters to them.
Accepted recordings will become part of a free online audio collection published by 365 for Kids.
Best for: Reading groups, literature programs, libraries, schools, homeschool groups, and children who enjoy expressive reading.
Pages of Virtue
A Children’s Collection of Written Reflections on the Good We Notice, Remember, and Choose
Children submit an original reflection, story, poem, letter, essay, or personal memory inspired by a virtue they have noticed, experienced, practiced, or admired.
Every accepted writing that meets the participation requirements will be included in the annual Pages of Virtue 2026 catalog.
Best for: Schools, libraries, writing groups, homeschool communities, character education activities, and thoughtful young writers.

Partners are welcome to use these materials to share the 2026 opportunities through newsletters, websites, social media, email, bulletin boards, family resource lists, classrooms, and community spaces.
No formal partnership agreement is required simply to share the official program information.

ACTIVITY GUIDES
A Year-Round Option: Community Showcases
The annual programs are not the only way children’s creative work can be shared through 365 for Kids.
Organizations that host 365 for Kids activities may work with us to create a dedicated Community Showcase page featuring approved artwork, writing, reflections, and other child-created responses developed throughout the year.
Each page highlights the work of the participating organization and gives families and the wider community a lasting place to view and celebrate children’s creativity.
Community Showcases are optional, require the appropriate permissions, and are separate from the three annual 2026 initiatives.
Host a Ready-to-Use Children’s Activity
Our printable Activity Cards help facilitators organize meaningful children’s sessions using common classroom, library, or art materials.
Partners may follow each guide as written or adapt it to their available time, age group, setting, and resources. No special curriculum or expensive equipment is required.

Libraries, schools, educators, homeschool communities, afterschool programs, nonprofit organizations, and other educational or community organizations may request complimentary access to the protected 365 for Kids educational collections.
Organization information is verified manually. Organizations with confirmed access receive account and login instructions by email.

SAFETY, PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
Child Safety, Privacy & Permissions
Activities should be adapted to your organization’s child-safety, accessibility, supervision, photography, recording, privacy, and media-release policies.
Children should never be required to share personal or sensitive experiences. Participation in group discussion and presentation should remain voluntary.
A child’s name, image, voice, recording, or creative work should not be photographed, recorded, published, or submitted without the required parent, guardian, or organizational authorization.
Using an Activity Guide does not automatically register or enter a child in a 365 for Kids program. Any submission must be completed separately and must follow the official requirements of the respective initiative.
