Chicago–Sofia Bridges

A Virtual Children’s Art Exhibition Connecting Young Artists Across Two Cities

In 2025, 365 for Kids continued building creative bridges between children through art, stories, and imagination.

Chicago–Sofia Bridges brought together young artists from the Chicagoland area and Sofia, Bulgaria, in a shared virtual art exhibition. Children from Art Classes in Schaumburg and Educational Center Studio S in Sofia created artworks that became part of one online gallery — a visual meeting place between two communities, two cities, and many young creative voices.

Through this project, children had the opportunity to see their artwork presented beyond the classroom and shared with families, friends, educators, and viewers in the United States, Bulgaria, and other parts of the world.

Why This Project Matters

Children’s art gives us a glimpse into how young people see the world.

A virtual exhibition allows their creativity to travel beyond walls, classrooms, cities, and countries. It gives families and communities a chance to celebrate children’s work together, even when they live far apart. Projects like Chicago–Sofia Bridges remind us that creativity can connect children across languages, cultures, and continents

Part of Our Growing Children’s Program

The 2025 virtual exhibition became part of the growing mission of 365 for Kids: to create meaningful opportunities for children to read, imagine, create, reflect, and share their voices with the world.

Our later annual programs continue this idea through art, literature, audio recordings, and written reflections.
